Indian Coast Guard: the ICG Protects India’s Marine interests and enforces maritime law with Jurisdiction over territorial water of India. It is a multi-mission organization performing round the year real life operations at sea. It was formed by the Coast Guard Act 1978 of Parliament of India on 18 August 1978. It has 171 vessels, 44 aircrafts and Boats classified Pollution, Offshore Patrol, Patrol. ICG main functions provide Safety and protection of artificial islands, offshore terminals, Fortification to aid to fisherman, Scientific data collection.

Present Director General ICG is Sri Rajendra Singh head of the organization work out his overall command and superintendence from CGHQ. The ICG Formed first Projected by Indian Navy to provide non military maritime services to nation. General Duty/General Duty Pilots Eligibility
i) Should passed Bachelor Degree with min 60% Marks in aggregate (i.e 1st Sem to 8th Sem for BE/BTech course or 1st Year to Last year for Bachelor Degree candidates)
ii) Mathematics & Physics as Subjects upto Inter or Class XI of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with 60% total in Maths & Physics. Candidates not Possession of Physics & Maths in 10+2 (Inter) or Equivalent level are not eligible for GD and GD Pilot.
iii) Male Candidates Only
iv) Date of Birth 01 July 1994 to 30 June 1998 Both dates Inclusive – General Duty Branch Posts
v) Date of Birth 01 July 1994 to 30 June 2000 Both dates Inclusive – General Duty (Pilot) Branch Posts

Commercial Pilot Entry (CPL) Eligibility
i) Minimum Education 12th Pass (Physics & Maths) with 60% marks in aggregate
ii) Must hold valid Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) issued (Validated) by Director General Of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
iii) Male and Female Eligible
iv) Date of Birth 01 July 1994 to 30 June 2000 Both dates Inclusive

Note:
i) Upper age limit is relaxation for OBC/SC/ST as per Govt. of India rules in Vogue.
ii) Max 5% relaxation in aggregate in the Degree Certificate for SC/ST & NCC holders

Indian Coast Guard Assistant Commandant Online Application 2018

i) Application will be allowed only online from 19.05.2018
ii) To Fill up Online Application the candidates need to Logon the joinindiancoastguard.gov.in website
iii) Select the advertisement for “Recruitment of Assistant Commandant – 01/2019 Batch.
iv) Select any one of Post to be applied from the Following
(aa) Asst. Commandant General Duty,
(ab) Asst. Commandant General Duty (Pilot)
(ac) Asst. Commandant (Commercial Pilot License-SSA)
v) Click on I Agree button and Online Application will be displayed.
vi) Upload the Photograph and Signature in Jpeg format (200 dpi, size between 10kb to 40kb, sign 10kb to 30kb)
vii) On successful submission of online application unique Application/Registration number will be provided to the candidate.Note down for future reference
viii) As per 10th Class Passing Certificate, Name of candidate, father/mother name and date of birth to be entered without any spelling error
ix) Class IX and Graduation marks upto two decimals and not to be rounded off (example 65.59)
x) Choose any one Venue of PSB out of the options
xi) Email ID and Mobile Number of the candidate is compulsory.
xii) In case SC/ST/OBC category applicants, current or permanent address of online application/E- admit Card should be the same as the address revealed in caste certificate
xiii) OBC category candidates OBC non-creamy layer (NCL) caste certificate should not be more than 3 financial years old
